Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies, Charles University in Prague

All foreign students embarking on university studies in Czech Republic go initially through czech language and specialization training in order to be prepared for studies at the Czech university in Czech language. All of the language and specialization training takes place at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies (ILPS) of Charles University, Prague. The Czech language intensive courses include specialized terminology with focus on chosen study field. The courses last 1 academic year and prepare foreign students thoroughly for entry exams (conducted in Czech) at the chosen Czech university or institute of higher education. ILPS graduates stand better chances when applying for further university study in Czech Republic.
