In the first year of study, doctoral students shall accomplish courses. The study plans for particular branches are based on: requisite courses a part of which being common for all the branches, requisite-optional courses, and a choice of optional courses the contents of which are orientated to the specialization and theme of the doctoral dissertation. Each doctoral student has a supervisor who prepares for him/her an individual study plan and the courses to be accomplished. Doctoral study duties, i.e. extent of requisite and optional courses and number of examinations are stipulated by the individual study plan approved by a specialist board.
