The M.A. program in Clinical-Counseling Psychology now offered at the University of New York in Prague in cooperation with La Salle University (Philadelphia, U.S.A., www.lasalle.edu), is an intensive program of studies with a concentration in Psychological Counseling. The program stresses skill training and clinical preparation and is designed to thoroughly equip students with the necessary knowledge to be effective professionals in the realm of mental health care.
The Program
This is a 48-credit program with duration of two years and courses are taught over weekends* by visiting faculty from La Salle University. The program has been designed to provide a sequential experience for each student. The progression in each instance is from knowledge base, to skill development, to application. There is an emphasis throughout the program on the integration of theory and practice. There is also an emphasis on a holistic perspective.
*UNYP provides light refreshments during the breaks to students on this program
